The two-part documentary event “Right to Offend: The Black Comedy Revolution” explores the progression of Black comedy and the comedians who have used pointed humor to expose, challenge and ridicule society’s injustices and to articulate the Black experience in America. The series examines Black comedy through a unique lens, tracing the evolution and social awakening of the courageous comedians who dared to push against the constraints of their time and spoke truth to power.

The most problematic aspect of Zsolt Kézdi-Kovács's films is the political motif of The Right to Hope, which is incomprehensible from a child's point of view and therefore disrupts the unified soul. The film works just as well without it, and it really works without the element of logical incoherence it introduces into the story. All of this highlights a directorial virtue that was rare in this period. Zsolt Kézdi-Kovács is able to dramatise personal conflicts that arise purely from within.

The folks who populate the rundown hotel in this story have all come there from someplace which offered a modicum of hope. Gloria, who runs the place, earns most of her money as a stripper. She lives there with her two daughters and a son with an untreated brain tumor. Charlie, who is forever in and out of jail, is Gloria's sometime lover. A recent check-in is there hoping she can work up the courage to commit suicide, since her rich doctor husband ran off and left her. Another resident is Tim, who keeps company with his dog and his booze in equal measure. A schoolteacher comes by from time to time, hoping to do these people some good, but in choosing this lot to work with, she proves to be just as much of a loser as the rest of them.

He was one of the most popular writers of his period and was also a prominent name in the history of Turkish literature and drama. "Dudaktan Kalbe" recalls the pathos and romance of Leo Tolstoy's novels. It was published in 1923 and focuses on the struggle between ethics, loyalty, love and ambition. The television series ran for two seasons. This series is currently airing in Serbia as Plač violine on Prva TV at 19:20.
